Domestic and commercial services across Norfolk and East Anglia. The work is weighted towards oil heating, hot water and water treatment because that is what this county needs, and we are explicit about the trades we do not cover.
Domestic
Oil heating
Boiler servicing, repair and installation; tank installation, replacement and inspection; supply pipework and fire valves. The largest single part of what we do.
Gas
Boiler servicing, repair and installation; landlord gas safety certificates; gas pipework; safety checks; cookers and hobs.
Hot water
Unvented cylinders, cylinder replacement, vented cylinders, immersion heaters, and no hot water diagnosis.
Heating
Central heating installation, radiators, power flushing, underfloor heating, controls and smart thermostats, magnetic system filters.
Plumbing and emergencies
General plumbing, emergency call-outs, burst pipe repair, leak detection, frozen pipes, taps, toilets, sinks and waste, outside taps, stopcocks and mains, low water pressure.
Bathrooms
Full renovations, wet rooms, accessible bathrooms, shower installation.
Water treatment
Water softeners, scale inhibitors, filtration.
Cooling
Air conditioning installation, servicing, repair, multi-split systems.
Commercial
- Maintenance – planned maintenance contracts and reactive call-out and SLAs.
- Plumbing – commercial plumbing, washroom installation, water hygiene and legionella.
- Heating – commercial heating and plant rooms.
- Gas – commercial gas and catering gas.
- Cooling and compliance – commercial air conditioning, VRF and VRV systems, server room cooling, F-Gas compliance.
- Property – landlords and letting agents.
Where we are strongest
Worth saying plainly rather than presenting everything as equal:
| Area | Why |
|---|---|
| Oil heating and tanks | The core of the business, and a genuine specialism in a county that needs it |
| Hot water and unvented cylinders | Including the discharge pipework most existing installations get wrong |
| Water treatment | Because the geology here makes it matter more than elsewhere |
| Emergencies and leak detection | Diagnosis rather than opening the house up speculatively |
| Bathrooms | One team start to finish, rather than five subcontractors who never meet |
| Rural and off-grid property | Farms, cottages, second homes and the specific problems they produce |
Below-ground drainage, camera surveys and collapsed clay pipework are a drainage specialist’s trade. Dental unit waterline management is specialist. National multi-site frameworks are beyond our scale. We will say so rather than stretch, and where we can we will tell you who to call.
How the services fit together
Most jobs touch more than one of the categories above, and knowing how they connect is frequently more useful than knowing which box a job sits in.
- A boiler replacement is a heating system job. The appliance is the smallest variable. The heat loss calculation determines the radiators, the system needs cleaning before the new heat exchanger goes on it, the controls determine whether it runs efficiently, and the flue and condensate determine whether it works in January.
- A hot water complaint is frequently a heating controls fault. Heating working and hot water not is almost always a valve or a thermostat rather than the appliance everybody is looking at.
- A water treatment decision is really a hot water decision. Whether softening is worth it turns mostly on whether there is a cylinder to protect and how much water the household heats.
- A bathroom is a plumbing, electrical, tiling and joinery job in a fixed sequence. Most bathroom failures come from the handover between trades rather than from any one of them.
- An oil boiler problem is frequently a tank problem. Water and sludge drawn from a failing tank present as burner faults, and replacing burner components does not fix them.
- An emergency is usually a maintenance item that was not dealt with. Seized stopcocks, perished flexible hoses, uninsulated loft pipework and unserviced boilers account for a large share of what we attend out of hours.
It is why we would rather you described the problem than picked a service. The category you land in is frequently not the one the fault is actually in.
Not sure which you need?
Describe the problem rather than trying to diagnose it. A few examples of what that gets you:
- ‘No hot water but the heating works’ – usually a valve or a thermostat, not a boiler. Modest job.
- ‘The boiler pressure keeps dropping’ – check the outside discharge pipe before anybody looks for a leak.
- ‘One radiator is cold’ – bleed it, then check the valve pin moves. Two free checks.
- ‘The shower has got weak’ – descale the head first.
- ‘Water is coming through the ceiling’ – stopcock off, electrics isolated, then call.
- ‘I can smell gas’ – National Gas Emergency Service, 0800 111 999. Not us first.
Several of those resolve without a visit, which is a better outcome for you than a call-out.
Describe the problem and we will point you at the right service – including when the answer is that you do not need us.
Questions we get asked about this
Do you cover everything on this list across all of Norfolk?
Norwich and the surrounding area routinely, the rest of the county on planned days, and further across East Anglia for larger and commercial works. Ask about your specific location.
What do you not do?
Below-ground drainage and camera surveys, dental unit waterline management, and national multi-site frameworks. We will tell you rather than stretch, and where we can we will point you at somebody.
Do you do both domestic and commercial?
Yes, and they are run differently – commercial work is planned around operating hours and built around the compliance calendar as much as the plant.
Which service do I need?
Describe the problem rather than trying to diagnose it. That is what the phone is for, and a good description frequently narrows it down before anybody gets in a van.
Are you the right people for a big project?
For proportionate fit-out and refurbishment work in the region, yes. For a national framework, no, and we would say so rather than over-promise.
Do you charge for a survey?
You will be told what a visit costs before we set off. For larger works the survey is part of producing a quote you can actually rely on.

Need this doing?
Call and describe the problem — you will speak to an engineer, not a call centre. Written quotes, no estimates over the phone.
